Crown Lengthening
In many cases of tooth decay, tooth fracture or in some instances, where an individual has teeth "short", a crown lengthening process allows us to properly construct a crown, bridge or esthetic and functional restoration.


Crown lengthening is a surgical procedure to adjust the position of the gum around the affected tooth and produces a more solid tooth to anchor the restoration of their choice. An extension functional resume helps a great smile and allow you to eat and speak with comfort and safety.
A purely esthetic crown lengthening that can fix a smile "a lot of gum" is often called gum contouring.
We performed a preliminary study of each tooth to see the amount of excess gum. After performing a gingivectomy (gum cut), with subsequent full-thickness flap (rising gum) and 2.5 mm is removed. bone around the teeth to the gum is positioned correctly. It ends with interdental sutures. One can see satisfactory cosmetic results and also improve access to proper dental hygiene.
