Crown Lengthening

In many cases of tooth decay, tooth fracture or in some instances, where an individual has teeth "short", a crown lengthening process allows us to properly construct a crown, bridge or esthetic and functional restoration.

Crown lengthening is a surgical procedure to adjust the position of the gum around the affected tooth and produces a more solid tooth to anchor the restoration of their choice. An extension functional resume helps a great smile and allow you to eat and speak with comfort and safety.

A purely esthetic crown lengthening that can fix a smile "a lot of gum" is often called gum contouring.

We performed a preliminary study of each tooth to see the amount of excess gum. After performing a gingivectomy (gum cut), with subsequent full-thickness flap (rising gum) and 2.5 mm is removed. bone around the teeth to the gum is positioned correctly.
